Yoga Center Opens in Cuttack; Sankirtan Guru Ashok Mahanti Passes Away

Yoga Center Inaugurated in Trighariya Cuttack City, 31.12 (Apr): A new yoga center has been inaugurated by Patanjali Haridwar and Cuttack Yoga Samiti at Madhusudan Smrithimandap in Trighariya, Nimgar No. 51, Nuasahi, Cuttack. It was inaugurated by Subodh Kumar Ray, Executive President of Senior Citizens Association, East Cuttack. A yoga camp was organized here today. It was conducted by senior yoga teachers of Cuttack district, Satyaranjan Sadangi and Kishore Kumar Sagar. Yoga teachers from different parts of the city participated and entrusted the responsibility of conducting this yoga camp regularly to senior yoga teacher Agani Charan Nayak, associate yoga teacher Pradeep Kumar Acharya and Ramachandra Sahu. Sankirtan Guru Passes Away Kataksadar, 31.12 (Apr): A senior monk and Sankirtan Guru Ashok Mahanti of Shikharpur Telasahi has passed away. Deep condolences have been expressed in Shikharpur area. After receiving the news of his passing, Shikharpur-Gandarpur-Mahandi Bihar Puja Committee President Jayant Pradhan, 22nd Division Chief Subash Chandra Sahu, Sarat Chandra Pradhan, Ganesh Chandra Raut, Riverside Sahi Katual Vasudev Baral paid their last respects and offered floral tributes. At the last rites, his wife, son Satya, daughter-in-law, daughter-in-law Sanghamitra, son-in-law, younger brother Akshay, Suprabha, Bubu, Lucy, Anita, Gauri, Bebina, Jeetu, Papu, Deepa, family and friends were present. A large crowd accompanied by village editor Bhagirath Dalai accompanied his body in procession to pay his last respects. His son Satya lit the fire while the last rites were performed at the Kaliabudha crematorium.
