Head-on Collision in Kavisuryanagar Kills Two Youths, Injures Three

Bike-Scooter Collision: 2 Dead Kavisuryanagar, 31.12 (Apr): Just a few hours before the end of the year, two families in Kondala, Ganjam district, have been brought to grief for a lifetime. They have lost two members of the family forever. A tragic accident took place near Budhamb police station in Kavisuryanagar on Wednesday at around 12 noon. Two youths died after a bike and a scooter collided head-on. Three others were injured, three of them seriously. One of them is in critical condition. The deceased are Rudranarayan Das (24) and Rashmiranjan Padhi (25), two neighbors of Kodala Kumutti Sahi. The holy Vindhani of Banpur area is in critical condition. His two friends are injured. Rudra and Rashmi were returning to their village from Kavisuryanagar on a bike. From the opposite direction, Prithvi and his two friends were coming on a scooty. The head-on collision occurred near Burdha Amb. After the accident, everyone was lying on the road in a bloody state. The locals rescued them and admitted them to the Kavisuryanagar Group Health Center. Doctors declared Rudra and Rashmi dead, while the other three were shifted to the Berhampur General Hospital after primary treatment. The Kavisuryanagar police station has conducted an investigation at the scene. The two bodies are at the Kavisuryanagar Health Center. They will be handed over to the families after the post-mortem on Thursday. The accident has taken the two families' happiness with it.
