Double Murder in Nirgundi Poklin Garage Two Youths Half-Raped and Beaten to Death Chowdwar-Gurdi Jhatia, 3112 (Apr): A gruesome murder took place in a Proclean Garage located in the Mangali-Nirgundi area under Tangi police station in Cuttack district late last night. Two youths were half-raised and beaten to death. Both the deceased youths are Mohammad Soheb (21), a resident of Ward No. 17, Nuasahi, Municipality, Chaudwar . His maternal home is in Tangi police station Teruwan. Another one is Prashant Kumar Jena (25), a resident of Rupyatra area of Chaudwar . The ancestral home of both of them is not clear. After the news of the murder of both of them spread, there was tension in the locality. Cuttack SP Vineet Agarwal, ASP Subha Narayan Muduli, Choudwar SDPO Umakant Nayak, Tangi police and scientific team reached the spot and are continuing the investigation. However, the real reason for the murder is not known. Police suspect theft or enmity behind the murder. Police seized hammer, rope, pants, shoes, helmet of the deceased youth from the garage owner. Police and scientific team at the spot have seized the tension; garage owner, employee Delip Nayak of Kutil village and a garage employee from Balasore Sir area are being questioned. Police force is guarding the spot. The Tangi police reached the scene after receiving the news of the murder in a garage where a Proctin vehicle was being prepared. The Tangi group took the young man Prashant, who was lying outside, and admitted him to the health center. But the doctor declared him dead. The police found Sohaib's body in the garage. Hundreds of people from Sohaib's maternal home village Teruwan, Prashant Jena Mohammed Sohaib, were excited as they reached the scene. As a result, the police cordoned off the garage. According to the police, goods worth more than Rs. 1.5 lakh were stolen from the garage four days ago. On Tuesday night, four employees were sleeping in the garage. Late at night, Sohaib and Prashant came to the garage in an Activa (No. OD 05-CI-8978). The employees were suspicious and arrested and beat up the two men. They even stripped the pants and shirts of the two men and tied them to a pole in front of the garage in the cold and broke their legs. They were not satisfied until they were beaten with a big hammer on various parts of their bodies. As a result, both of them died. While Prashant's body was lying outside, Sohaib's body was thrown inside the house and the door was closed. The locals were anxious to identify the accused and take strict action. The tension subsided after the accused were promised to be arrested immediately. It is reported that Sohaib works at night in a medicine warehouse in Manguli and hangs out with Prashant at various times. The scientific team has recovered an iron hammer, two pairs of pants, two pairs of shoes, a helmet and an Akti Bhavan from the murder scene. The police are examining the CCTV footage installed in the garage and the surrounding areas and questioning the relatives. It is said that some clues have been found regarding the accused.
