Chief Administrator apologizes for serious mistake in Shrimandir calendar, sale banned Puri, 3112 (Bureau): The Chief Administrator of Shrimandir apologized. The distribution and sale of Shrimandir's English New Year calendar has been banned. The temple administration has taken this decision after finding a mistake in the photographs placed in this calendar and seeing the displeasure of the devotees. In several photographs presented in the calendar, Shribalbhadra has been placed in place of Lord Jagannath in the Ratnavedi and Shribalbhadra has been placed in place of Shribalbhadra. Shrisudarshan is not present in the photographs. Similarly, the chariots that are crowded during the Rath Yatra have also been placed incorrectly. The photograph of Devi Su Bhadra's chariot being taken to Srigundicha Temple is presented first, followed by Sri Jagannath's chariot and finally Sri Balabhadra's chariot. The photograph depicted on the plaque has been copied and printed in the calendar. The temple administration said in a press release that the photograph depicted on the plaque, which is a century old, has been brought from the Odisha State Museum and placed in the English New Year calendar. Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan said that he discussed the error with the Chief Administrator after coming to know about it. Senior lawyer Ramesh Prasad Sinha said that it is questionable whether the temple's management committee made this calendar with his knowledge or not. Apart from this, questions have also been raised regarding the responsibility of the subcommittee working under the management committee for the protection and promotion of Shri Jagannath culture. The work of the Project Culture Subcommittee and the Shri Jagannath Philosophy Research, Publication and Promotion Subcommittee has been criticized. The head of both the committees is Gajapati. There are many well-known Shri Jagannath culture researchers and servants in this. Action should be taken against those who have committed such a mistake.
