Congress Slams PM Modi's Silence on China's India-Pakistan Ceasefire Demand
Jairam's statement: China's demand is a mockery of national security New Delhi, 31.12 (Agen): After China's demand for a ceasefire between India and Pakistan, the Congress has sought a response from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh on Wednesday said that Prime Minister Modi's silence is worrying. This may raise questions about national security. US President Donald Trump has already made a demand 65 times on various forums for a ceasefire between India and Pakistan. Now China is also making the same demand. The government should not remain silent after this demand from America and China. This is a mockery of national security. Jairam Ramesh said in 'X' that on July 4, Army Chief General Rahul Singh had said that India was actually confronting China during Operation Sindoor. If China stood with Pakistan during Operation Sindoor, then its claim of neutrality is very worrying. US President Trump has been continuously claiming that he personally intervened to stop Operation Sindoor on May 1. Trump has claimed that he has called for a ceasefire 65 times in 7 countries at different forums. But Jairam said that Prime Minister Modi has not yet responded to his friend's claim.
