Batagoswami High School Alumni Reunion Held; Prominent Villager Basanti Devi Passes Away

Old students' reunion Salepur, 3112 (Apr): A reunion ceremony was held for the 2003 matriculation batch students of Batagoswami High School in Basudevpur village, Salepur block. Many students from Rameswar participated and reminisced about old memories. On this occasion, Prakash Dash, Shiv Ranjan Pati, Kedar Nayak, Janmejoy Maharana, Arjan Dash, Nirupma Mohanty, Haren Dutt, Nirupma Tripathi, Chandana Gahan, Bibhuti Bhushan Mohanty, Ajay Sahu, Punananda Behera, Janmejoy Patra, Raghunath Patra, Santosh Patra and many other students planted saplings on the hill. Dharmaparayana passes away Salepur, 3112 (Apr): Basanti Devi (72), wife of lawyer Naant Mahendra Mohapatra of Lunahar village, passed away. She had been undergoing treatment at Cuttack Bada Medical College for a long time. She passed away while undergoing treatment there. She was a devout and charitable woman. Her last rites were performed at Puri Swargadwar. Her son Devendra Kumar Mahapatra performed the cremation.
