Anu Garg Assumes Chief Secretary Role, Reviews Water Resources Department Operations

• Last meeting of Development Commissioners: Advice to do good work in the New Year Bhubaneswar, 3112 (Bureau): Anu Garg has taken over as the Chief Secretary from the New Year. Before assuming charge, Development Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary Smt. Garg reviewed various works of the Water Resources Department. As the Secretary of the Water Resources Department, the important steps taken for irrigation, flood control, river management, water conservation, groundwater recharge in the Water Resources Department were discussed. Here, Additional Secretary of the Department and Managing Director of Odisha Upland Irrigation Corporation Manasi Nimbal, Special Secretary Narhari Sethi, and Senior Engineer Chandrashekhar Padhi gave information on various major projects. Finally, the Development Commissioner wished all the officers a happy New Year and advised them to do good work in the New Year.
